Apply for Convention Assistance- Deadline Monday!
Happy Saturday! I got this email in my inbox yesterday and I wanted to pass it along to anyone interested in attending the 2014 NAHJ Convention in San Antonio. I have attended previous conventions, and it is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn about job openings, and connect with other journalists you probably haven’t seen since the last convention!

This year NAHJ will be providing some assistance to current members to attend the conference this summer in San Antonio, TX. As part of the 2014 NAHJ Convention Assistance Program, we will offer limited travel and limited complimentary registrations.
The assistance is open to those with the biggest financial need who stand to benefit from enhanced training. Priority will be given to those members who have been laid off within the last 18 months and those who work in Spanish-language media, but other journalists and students who can demonstrate some financial need are encouraged to apply.
The deadline to apply is Monday, May 19th
