‘Meet the Boss’- NBC 7 V.P. Greg Dawson
In July, the NAHJ San Diego/TJ chapter met with NBC 7 Vice President of News Greg Dawson in our first “Meet the Boss” series. Professional and student members had a chance to talk to Greg and ask questions about the industry, the importance of social media, and what he looks for when he’s hiring job candidates. Evening Anchor Catherine Garcia also stopped by to critique demo reels and talk about her experiences as the 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. Anchor in “America’s Finest City.”
An informal mixer was also held at the Commons Bar, located across the street from NBC Studios in downtown. Just a reminder, if you are not an NAHJ member, NAHJ is offering a discounted $20 membership for students, $30 for new members and $45 rate for renewing members. This offer is valid until July 16th!
