NAHJ June 14th Meeting — Border Patrol Tour—RSVP NEEDED!

Hello All,
Thank you for everyone who came out to our last meeting on Thursday at San Diego Cellars.
For our next meeting, we will be getting a behind-the-scenes tour of San Diego’s Sector Border Patrol from Paul Beeson, the Chief Patrol Agent.
We will get a look at 14-miles of the Border Infrastructure System designed to help protect national security even the “enforcement zone” which very few people ever get access to see.
Other areas of interest include: the camera tower systems, Colonia Libertad and the latest border enhancements.
Along with this, Border Patrol officers will talk with us about how journalists can work with the agents on daily assignments, create new contacts and hopefully some future story ideas!

WHEN: June 14th from 10 a.m. to 12:30/1 p.m.
WHERE: Meeting at Las Americas Plaza in San Ysidro  (Possible Carpool options TBD)
COST: $5 for students and $10 for members    (All proceeds go to our fundraising efforts!)
RSVP: I will need to get a R.S.V.P from you by Friday, May 30th. THERE ARE ONLY 14 SPOTS AVAILABLE.
email- [email protected]

If more than 14 people are interested, we will turn it into a lottery drawing to choose who gets on the tour.

Pictures, video and live tweeting are all allowed!
